When creating this painting, I couldn’t help but think about Edward Hopper’s striking piece, “House by the Railroad”. This piece, like many of Hopper's works, combines ideas of ornate beauty and progress with a quiet sense of solitude. I absolutely loved creating this intimate 10x10 painting of such a lovely Victorian home within my favorite color scheme of blues, greens, and grays.
